  • Klaus Tennstedt DVD named Best Historical Recording 2013 by The Bruckner Society of America

The Bruckner Society of America have awarded our DVD of Klaus Tennstedt conducting the Boston Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Bruckner Symphony No. 7 the title of Best Historical Recording 2013.

The Society said: “The Board of Directors has chosen the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s recent DVD of the Bruckner Symphony No. 7 conducted by Klaus Tennstedt as the best historical Bruckner recording of the past year. The Board was extremely impressed by the vivid sense of occasion captured by the video. The performance itself is remarkable in its expressive intensity and communicativeness. It is obvious that both Tennstedt and the orchestra were fully engaged in bringing this score to life. In addition, the video production captures the essence of a classic era in public television's commitment to live performances of great music. We salute this production for preserving a cultural moment and a truly memorable performance.”
